In the beginning, the roots of Nite & Day started in a bedroom. 1986 was the year the collective started. Consisting of a collaboration of Daniel G. Duke, Darrin R. Howard, and William H. Fraize. All known by WaveTeck at that time. As their minds met, they found that the influences & collections of music that guided them all, giving the unique sound of WaveTeck. They were ahead of there time. WaveTeck then purchased there first sampler in 1989, it was at that time they started to get, what was then, state-of-the-art equipment. It was the start of WaveTeck creating there own songs. Before the following year had come to a close, WaveTeck started using their new purchase of the Atari 1040St to fully recored & arrange song's. Of course, that machine is still being used by the many faithful artist today. In 1989 WaveTeck was far ahead of there time. They started producing more & more song's, broadening there entire spectrum of music and sound. With more equipment & constant updates of their sound library. Hip-Hop was a very big influence for Danny & Darrin. In 1990, Nite & Day became a reality. Danny & Darrin started working with A few local vocal artists', Rodman Tolliver, Frank Moorman, & Maurice Jackson. Together, they were known as Aggravated Assault. In fact Rodman coined the phrase, Nite & Day, which just seemed to fit the sound that was being produced. Danny & Darrin collaborated with Rodman on music for awhile. In 1993, tragedy struck, Danny was found dead January 3rd. It was a devastating blow that caused a major set back. At first, it seemed that it may have been an unrecoverable one at that. Time did not heal those wounds that had been laid open, however, the thought of the legacy that had been started, did push Darrin & myself forward to introduce the world to Nite & Day. Being Danny's brother it seemed that I had to fill the shoes of a great musician, with years of knowledge ahead of my own. The support I received from Darrin & William put me on a path of finding the true sound of music. It seemed that I was taking on the role of Day, a title that took a long time to earn. I was only 14-15 years old at the time of his death and the start of my musical career. Nite & Day's legacy continued, but this could never have been accomplished without the support of people like Darrin, William, Dad, Mom, Johnny Hatfield, Rodman Tolliver, Greg Hatfield, Mike Weber, & so many more. In 1995 Nite & Day started to collaborate with William Fraize (Hu-Man), once again. There were several songs on many different album's that William contributed too, & gave us many idea's that were used for other song's. In 1996 Darrin & I was approached by William & Mike Weber. The ideal of the venture was to bring all of our talents together & go from there. DeadFlash Studios was the name of the studio William & Mike were running at that time. So we begin working together & then changed the name to Lucid Group Entertainment. The first album we did together, in 1997, was Intelligent Fusion, under the group name, Of Nebadon, several people worked on that album & put a lot of great idea's, time, & effort into the success of the album. We had a blast! The collaborative effort & all the introduction of music that was introduced to me, molded my mind into a collective of different genres. Darrin gave me funk, jazz, hip-hop, & ambient. While William gave me the sound of trance-ambient techno, trip-hop, and more. Mike weber introduced me to alternative ambient rock, and much more. I also had the notes & sound Danny had left me. Without these people, I would not even be close to being the musician that I am today. Intelligent Fusion, got a lot of great responses & reviews, In Owensboro people used it to test car stereo systems and is still being used today. Eventually, things changed in Of Nebadon & we all went our own way to broaden our horizons. Nite & Day decided to update our sound once again in 1999. Nite & Day had tracks to do another album, but thing's were changing & it never got finished. Darrin continued to make music by playing with Sonic Aggregate, which consisted of William Fraize, Darrin, & Andy Wargel. They accomplished many song's & compilations, giving them a unique sound that put you in a mind set that was very pleasing to the conciseness mind, leading you to a place everyone should visit. They did a huge number of albums & gave more meaning to the word sound. William is now producing new music by himself & is also involved in a joint project with Mike Weber, (Arcane-Humans). There unique sound takes music to new levels & as always I look forward to seeing what they will accomplish separately and as a team. After taking time off Nite & Day are back, we are bringing old songs that were once thought to be lost, back out, with the help of William Fraize. Danny, Darrin, William, and myself get to be heard once again, as the old becomes new. Nite & Day, after a 7 year break, have come back stronger and better than ever. Johnny Hatfield is now part of the team which we are very thankful. Johnny works tirelessly on many projects that help define what Nite & Day really are, a family of sound. We have ideas to work with many people consisting of so much more than before. Nite & Day, Johnny, & William are working on an umbrella site that will contain all of our music, & in that music the story of our travels. We are ecstatic about giving our music, art, & ideas to the world so that our legacy will forever live on through our works. We would like to thank so many people for all of the support & advice that has been given in the digital realm as well as the reality realm. Without all of you, Nite & Day would not be who we are in our thoughts and music. We will continue to compose and create not only for ourselves, but for all of you
